National Young Leaders' Day

Hello Everyone,

I am sorry that I haven't written on this blog in such a long time.
I have had so many assignments and their is so much homework
this year that I haven't had time to write. So lets' cut to the point.

A few weeks ago I was invited as with all my friends to go to the
Brisbane Convention Centre for a function called National Young
Leaders Day. In this conference many different speakers came such
as the sport legend Wally Lewis, the champion sailor Jessica Watson
and a very inspirational visually impaired man named Lorin Nicolson.
4000 school leaders from all around Queensland and some from
New South Wales came to see this spectacular conference.

When each speaker finished their inspirational speeches we had time
to ask questions. So when Jessica Watson had question time I waited
for someone to pick me so that I could ask a question. Guess What.
I was the last person to be picked! I came up on the two big screens
in that hall and I asked my question into the microphone.

"So who inspires you?" I asked.

She replied " Most of the famous adventurers but the on you inspires me
the most, Edmund Hilary." This moment was like speaking to her!

Throughout the day we had challenges to do, like a treasure hunt and
other fun stuff too. I really enjoyed this day. It taught me a lot.
