Induction Day Ceremony

Hello Everyone,

So I know you guys were expecting me to post this earlier but, I was stuck doing a big pile of work so that my “Xbox 360 playing day” a.k.a. the weekend was not destroyed by my arch-enemy called “le homework.”  So back to Induction day, it was an absolute blast. It was a little bit nerve-racking when reciting The Oath with the other school captain and the two other vice captains, but other from that it worked out well. My parents and grandparents came to see this special moment and my aunty snuck in with my two-year-old baby cousin as well. I have some pictures from the day but, not all the ones I wanted because of privacy for the students. I will have to ask my friends parents to give permission for having pictures of their children on this blog, but I have some good pictures with some other people too.                 Here they are:-

P2060011   This is me with my grandparents.

P2060012    This is me with my parents.

P2060017

This is me with the acting principal Mr Wallace.

So that's it! I will come back sometime with more stuff on Induction Day soon.

Thanks,

Induction Day Begins...

Hello Everyone,

Now, I have been told that Induction Day will
be held on Wednesday of this week and I will
have to recite a speech that has been given to me.
This speech is really just an Oath, and it is really long.
I have the Oath right here next to me, so I am
going to write it out on this post.

"As School Captains we shall:

  • maintain the high standard of behavior expected from all pupils;
  • maintain the positive attitude developed amongst pupils and towards work;
  • help teachers conduct programs and functions for the school;
  • liaise between pupils and teachers;
  • represent our school with dignity;
  • encourage pupils to be justly proud of our school;
We are proud to have been chosen as Captains and grateful for the honour of serving our school.

So there you have it, this is what I will have to say on Induction Day.

Thanks,

Plan No.3

Hello,

At our first meeting Mr.Wallace asked us come up
with a plan to convince the P&C to get air-condition.
So we have decided to go around to each classroom
in our school, and take the temperature in the morning,
midday and afternoon for 2 weeks. I have been asked to
create an Excel spreadsheet to keep all of our data.
Laura and I are going start collecting data tomorrow.

I have found out some news about Induction Day.
Induction Day will be held on Wednesday 16th of
February, due to the Queensland Flood Recovery
Centre set inside of our school hall. I have also found
out that we will be given a 5-lined speech to recite
on the day.

Thanks,
