Quote of the Week
This week's quote of the week is from the famous
Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius who was the last
of the "Five Good Emperors." The worthiness of
ambition is the main point in this Roman quote.
"A man's worth is no greater than the worth of his
ambitions."

School Jobs
I have endured my first week as school captain and I have
already been asked to complete several tasks. The first task
was conducted at the swimming carnival against Good News
Lutheran (thats a weird name) where I helped Mr.F
with the lane ropes an helped Derek take the sunroof
off the roof. My school won that swimming carnival, Laura
(other school captain) and I had the opportunity to hold the trophy.
Later on, Laura and I presented the trophy our principal
Mr.Wallace. But, Mr.Wallace sent us back to ask Mr.F
for a quick photo for the school newsletter. The final task that
I was sent to complete was from Mr.Wallace who again is
our school principal. He sent me to organise a meeting with all
of the school leaders involved to talk about what we are going
to conduct this year.

Day 1
Hello Everyone,
Today was my first day of school for 2011. This is my last year of primary school. In the morning I promised you that I would post some pictures of me onto this blog. Well here they are!
So here’s the story of my first day. When I arrived at school, I walked straight to my allocated classroom and put all of my stationery and books on an available desk. After that, I went up to the under-cover shed to see if my friends were up there. That is where I found Felix and Mckinley, who are both in my class. We chatted all the way to our classroom and then waited for our other friends to arrive, later on, first we found Dalton and after him we found Alex. When all the students in our class arrived we started talking about ourselves. Afterwards Alex and I had to take a small desk table to a prep class because a little boy had broken his leg in the holidays and was in a wheelchair. As we arrived at our classroom, our class was conducting an activity about themselves. Afterwards, we stared working on the topic Australia Day, we did a few fun worksheets and then the work started to get difficult, with this handout sheet that we did. But, during the day we just worked on this Coat of Arms colouring-in activity. At lunch time we found a new spot to play handball, it was pretty busy but it was worth it, our game of handball was mixed with a few laughs and I displayed some really cool tricks. At the end of the day we were given a homework sheet (which I finished just now) and we played a game called Aussie Trivia. This game was mixed with easy questions like spell Australia, and questions about Australian History. This was a great first day of school!
Thanks

Tomorrow this blog will officially start! I will take

Quote of the Week
Last week Queensland endured the most devastating floods in 37 years. On the weekend the people of Brisbane volunteered in the muddy clean-up. This week’s quote is based on Survival. It was written by Joseph Campbell who was an American mythologist and lecturer.
“At such moments, you realize that you and the other are, in fact, one. It’s a big realization. Survival is the second law of life. The first is that we are all one.”
I hope that everyone has had a chance to view my flood videos and photos. If you still want to help the flood victims, please donate to any major Australian bank or visit this website.

Big Storm Picture 2nd Day
Hello Everyone,
These are some pictures that I took of the flood.
This is the Brisbane River. Yesterday my Mum took pictures of this showing its size. It looks like it grew about 3 metres more.

Quote of the Week
Hello Everyone,
This week’s quote is from an American author and lecturer Helen Keller.
“Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experiences of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired and success achieved.”

Quote of the week ( first in 2011 )
Today is Monday and it the time
for a new quote for the new week.
This quote is from Tom Bodett:-
"The difference between school
and life? In school, you're taught
a lesson and then given a test. In
life you're given a test that teaches
you a lesson.
This year I'll start using the Apple
